Your responsibilities

The TE-CRG-IC section has undertaken an important upgrade of the cryogenic instrumentation solutions and their associated test benches infrastructure.

The instrumentation Engineer/Physicist will participate in the development, procurement and commissioning for new instrumentation and dedicated test benches.

In particular, you will:

• Development of new cryogenic instrumentation type (pressure, cryogen level, temperature, flow) that requires qualification, certification and/or adaptation to the radiation environment.

• Maintenance of the LabView based stations for qualifying series of batches of RadTol data acquisition systems, calibrating sensors and preparing reporting and recommendations.

• Field support for cryogenic instrumentation present in the CERN infrastructures, when automatic LabView based equipment is required.

Eligibility criteria:

You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.You have a professional background in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics (or a related field) and have either: a Master's degree with 2 to 6 years of post-graduation professional experience;or a PhD with no more than 3 years of post-graduation professional experience.You have never had a fellow or graduate contract before.
