To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have… 

Education: Master's degree or higher in one of the following fields is required: Social Science, Sociology, Information Management, Journalism, Media Management.

Professional experience: At least 3 years of professional experience in communication, media, journalism and/or information management. Experience working with media and/or media data. Experience working with international organizations, government and/or projects implemented in partnership with the government and/or international organizations.

Languages: 

English: Advanced [C1]; Ukrainian: Proficient/Native [C2].

Skills and competencies:

Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information clearly and concisely to diverse stakeholders, including team members and external partners. Data Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing data to derive meaningful insights and inform decision-making processes within the programme/projects. Information Technology Proficiency: A good understanding of various information management systems, databases, and software tools relevant to the field of communication and data reporting. Project Management: Ability to manage information-related projects effectively, including planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks, resources, and timelines to achieve project objectives efficiently. Information Governance: Knowledge of information governance principles and practices to ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and organizational policies related to data privacy, security, and integrity.

Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual Contractors. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws. 

The selected candidate is solely responsible to ensure that the visa (applicable) and health insurance required to perform the duties of the contract are valid for the entire period of the contract. Selected candidates are subject to confirmation of fully-vaccinated status against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) with a World Health Organization (WHO)-endorsed vaccine, which must be met prior to taking up the assignment. It does not apply to consultants who will work remotely and are not expected to work on or visit UNICEF premises, programme delivery locations or directly interact with communities UNICEF works with, nor to travel to perform functions for UNICEF for the duration of their consultancy contracts.
