Purpose of the role:

The ICT Officer supports in providing technical support to all NRC staff, helping develop and implement ICT standards and policies, and providing technology support and solutions to meet the needs of the organization. The ICT Officer will help in the implementation and management of the software applications and hardware infrastructure that support NRC operations.

What you will do:

Identify problems in the area of own activities. Provide basic assistance, information and/or training to staff on department’s policies and procedures. Adhere to NRC policies, guidance, procedures and the Global ICT Strategy.Deliver timely and high-quality ICT hardware, software, and services to the country programme.Maintain internet and network connectivity in NRC’s Bekaa office and premises.Ensure that all NRC systems are fully compliant with Information Security requirements and data privacy standards.Test new equipment and applications and provide thorough feedback.Support and contribute to ICT tasks and projects through the implementation of appropriate technologies and solutions.Ensure that NRC’s related activities are implemented within NRC’s Protection Mainstreaming guidelines and report any breaches/concerns to the line manager and/or focal point for proper action.

Specifically you will:

Install and update operating systems and user applications.Assist with creating /troubleshooting automated flows to facilitate business processes.Perform routine support tasks including, but not limited to resolving windows problems, formatting, outlook setup, applications access, cabling, connecting roubleshooting printers and peripheral devices etc.Build and test Operating System images for NRC standard laptop models.Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair wired and wireless networks infrastructure.Coordinate with Country office ICT staff when needed, and act as their focal point for sending eceiving items and hardware maintenance.Send faulty hardware to external maintenance suppliers and, when applicable, fix items locally in the office.Ensure that all software on NRC computers and networking equipment is licensed and well-tracked.Prepare and hand-over laptops to new users.Introduce new staff to NRC systems using the ICT induction guidelines and applied onboarding procedures.Train staff on standard NRC applications and use of systems.Track printing consumables and expenses, and periodically extract figures to make expenditure more efficient.Manage ICT assets and work closely with Logistics to ensure updates are reflected in the asset registration system.Assist in the Asset Disposal Plan for ICT assets on a periodic basis and provide technical assistance to the Logistics team throughout the entire process.Raise purchase requests for ICT assets and provide procurement assistance to users by recommending specifications for software and hardware.Assist in developing and updating ICT procedures and guidelines with proper documentation.

 Professional Competencies:

2 - 3 years of experience in Information TechnologyBachelor degree in IT, Computer Science, CCE, or relevant computer domainFamiliar with Office 365 services (Exchange online, Onedrive setup, Teams Essentials and sharepoint sites)Proficiency in English and Arabic, both written and spoken
