Finance Officer - Libya Benghazi (For Libyan Nationals Only)

Role and responsibilities

The Finance Officer is responsible for generating and consolidating financial reports from all field offices.

Generic responsibilities 

 

Adhere to NRC Finance policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines Assist with the implementation of the Finance function portfolio according to plan of action Prepare and develop status reports as required by management Ensure proper filing of documents and transactions Promote and share ideas for improvement of the Finance function Prepare bank account and cashbox reconciliations for the Area office Prepare the financial Project Summary Distribute information and reports as required Support project staff in financial matters  Actively promote PSEA (Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards & principles within NRC and amongst beneficiaries served by NRC.

 

Specific responsibilities 

This section shall be revised whenever a new employee is hired or the context changes significantly. 

Support and Implement NRC’s systems and procedures at Area Office levelSupport the adherence to NRC policies, handbooks, guidelines and donor requirementsSupport and guide non finance staff in finance procedures and facilitate team trainingsImplement and adhere to anti-corruption policyMake sure that financial internal controls are in place and adhered to for the banking and cash systemPost the entries on daily basis to UNIT4. Make sure that Data has proper correct codes and as per the project documentsPrepare the regular UNIT4 Bank reconciliations for all the balance sheet items.Enter the UNIT4 rebooking and keeping proper record of it.Preparation of the financial reports (BVA + BRS + Donor Reports) at Area Office level.Verify the purchase requests and payment requests for Area office

Other task related to the project budgets like any realignment and updating the UNIT4 for project follow-up.
