Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Finance Director will provide overall management and oversight for the project's finances, including operations, project procurement and logistics. S/he will work closely with the Chief of Party (COP) to align project resources with project activities. This position will also be a liaison with the Home Office to ensure full compliance with regulations and policies with regard to implementation of effective internal controls.

Reporting & Supervision:

This position reports to the Chief of Party (COP).**Qualifications**

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • M.S. degree in accounting, financial management or relevant field desired;
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of demonstrable financial management experience of complex, international development assistance programs, developing and managing budgets, and managing grants funds, including for USG-funded programming;
  • Experience in field-based accounting, including USG policy, procedures, and reporting requirements;
  • Public or private sector management, financial analysis, cost accounting and relevant experience preferably in developing countries;
  • Demonstrated capacity to supervise a complex financial management or general ledger system; and
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English.
