Mission

Geneva Call, registered and active in Ukraine since 2018 and with offices in cities including Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Odesa, has a strong partnership with the Ukrainian community and international partners. The organization focuses on providing training related to the Law of Armed Conflict (LoAC)/IHL, collaborating closely with the military, volunteers, and local authorities. It uses the expertise of Ukrainian veterans and active military members to provide specialized training and initiatives like the Code of Warriors of Light, reflecting Ukraine’s spirit.

Main activities

Data Entry and Financial Processing

  • Primarily focused on data entry, this role involves handling the registration and coding of financial transactions, ensuring compliance with financial procedures, and managing payment verifications.
  • Oversee monthly logging of expenses and processing of field office expenditures, aligning with a key responsibility for accurate data input.

Petty Cash and Bank Management

  • Conduct petty cash reconciliations and bank reconciliations, emphasizing precise data entry to ensure all transactions align with budgets and financial controls.

Reporting and Documentation

  • Responsible for regular financial data updates to the Finance Coordinator, preparing monthly account closures, reviewing liquidity, and managing the archiving and digitization of financial documents.

Audit Support and Bank Operations

  • Assist in various audits, prepare payment requests, and handle electronic banking operations, including bank reconciliations and related paperwork, with a focus on meticulous data entry.

Vendor and Expense Oversight

  • Oversee vendor accounts and review employee travel and expense reports for accuracy and compliance, underscoring the role’s focus on detailed data entry.

Main qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required, a master’s degree in the same or a related field is preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years in a similar role, with a strong background in accounting or finance. Experience with an international organization and/or international donors an advantage.

Technical Skills

  • Exceptional communication skills in both English and Ukrainian, with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask, and work independently under pressure to produce high-quality results.
  • Strong organizational abilities, ethical conduct, and a team player committed to gender equality and sustainable development.
  • Customer-focused with excellent interpersonal skills and proactive decision-making.
  • Experience in using accounting/financial software is essential.

Personal Skills

  • Capable of both independent and collaborative work.
  • Effective in professional communication, including within a multicultural environment, and building strong professional relationships.
  • Commitment to maintaining a solutions-oriented approach when confronted with challenges.

Languages

  • Proficiency in English (B2 / C1 / C2 level) and Ukrainian.
