  1. Role and responsibilities

    The purpose of a Field Office Team Leader is to manage a support team at field office level. The following is a brief description of the role.

    Generic responsibilities (max 10)

    These responsibilities shall be the same for all positions with the same title. The responsibilities shall be short and essential. Details belong in the Work- and Professional Development Plan.

  2. Comply with and ensure adherence to NRC policies, handbooks and procedures and SOPs/guideline.
Line management for support staff such as Finance, HR & Admin and Logistic/ICT. Manage day to day HR & Admin, Finance, Logistics, Security tasks, Government Operation of the field office. Coordinate and cooperate with NRC stakeholders (government, UN, INGO, LNGO, agencies, NSA) according to strategy and plans. Cooperate with relevant partners and networking to other external actors. Ensure proper filing of all liaison documents concern. Ensure proper coordination on daily operations between support team and program teams. Ensure adherence to Security and Risk Management policies and procedure. Security Focal Point for field office. Promote and share ideas for improvement and necessary changes in the activities.

Specific responsibilities

These responsibilities shall be adapted to the particularities of the job location and context, phase of operation, strategic focus and type of programme intervention. This section shall be revised whenever a new employee is hired or the context changes significantly.

Work with Area Manager/Field Office Coordinator to ensure access to beneficiaries and managing relationship with local authorities and NRC stake holders (government, UN/INGO/LNGO agencies, NSA) according to strategy and plans. To ensure effective relationship and comply with the requirement of the line ministers. Advice Field Office Coordinator on the compilation and analysis of the news on the context and situation prevailing in our operational areas and Myanmar. In collaboration with support and program staff, assist Government Liaison Coordinator on the process of submitting program update reports to different ministries at State Level and Union. In collaboration with support and program staff, assist the Safety and Security Officer, ensure that a security plan for the Field Office in South East Asia is updated regularly and minimize security risks to the operations of NRC as well as NRC staff adheres to NRC’s security rules and guidelines. Immediately report all breaches of safety and security procedures and all threats to NRC staff, beneficiaries, activities or assets. Area Operation: provide regular feedback and reports of support function to Support Coordinator in Area Office. Staff capacity building: build up capacity of support and program staff in Dawei office. Establish a good working environment based on the NRC values.
