THE OPPORTUNITY

Plan international Ghana is looking to employ the services of a highly skilled, experienced and qualified professional in the role of Field Education Facilitators for urban districts in Accra.

This position will help facilitate and advance Plan International’s engagement with target communities, program beneficiaries as well as key stakeholders.

ABOUT YOU

The Field Education Officer will work with stakeholders at the districts/municipal and community level to support the implementation of the Project’s activities to support learning outcomes for out of school and in-school student. The Field Education Officer will be responsible for coordinating quality programming and results, financial management and compliance, stakeholder and partner relations, and donor deliverables at community level.

He/she will coordinate the establishment of Accelerated Learning Programme and school Remedial sessions in the region. He/she is responsible for program planning, implementation, and reporting in compliance with donor and government agreements. The post-holder will be based in The post-holder will be based in Accra and travel to project communities where the project operates within urban districts in Greater Accra (Accra Metro, La Dadekotopon, Korle-Klottey, Ablekuma West, Ablekuma North, Okaikwei North, La Nkwantanang, Ayawaso East, Ayawaso West, Okaikwei South and Ga East) for approximately 90% of her/his time.

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma/ High National Diploma (HND) in a relevant area e.g. Community Development, Development Studies, Social Studies. A degree in Education a relevant area would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and other ICT skills
  • Previous experience delivering CBE
