The purpose of the Facility Coordinator position is to serve as the main support to the Facility Manager - Yemen in facilitating the work of Nabni in South Area. They are responsible for coordinating the Facility’s support to LNGO partners, representing and proactively engaging with national and local stakeholders in areas under their responsibility throughout the project cycle in support of coordination and delivery of the Facility’s objectives. 

Along with the Facility Manager - Yemen, provides input to the country-level Facility strategy and supports the selection of partners and their activities.Promotes compliance with and adherence to NRC and Facility policies, guidance and procedures for partners and operations in areas of the country under their oversight.Representation of the Facility in relevant forums and networking in areas of oversight as required

Specific responsibilities 

Maintain oversight of the context in South Area and relevance of the Facility’s overall priorities and partner operations to this.Support strategy design at the field level of the Facility approach and monitoring of the same. Monitor and proactively flag issues, concerns or challenges – ongoing or anticipated, in the Facility and partner operations in geographical areas of oversight.Under the guidance and direction of the FMU and the Facility Manager – Yemen in particular, manage the relationship with Facility partner organisations in South Area.Support project co-design processes for partner organisations.Support access negotiations for local partners.Support partner capacity exchange and development activities, including conducting assessments, development of plans, and coordination of technical assistance for project grantees.Under the overall supervision of the Facility Manager – Yemen, guide the early market engagement (EME) process in South Area, including the assessments for areas of operation, partners mapping, stakeholder outreach, and contributing to the strategy for funding allocation.In conjunction with the Facility Manager – Yemen and the FMU, liaise with donors on funding and partnerships.Lead proactive engagement with national, regional and local authorities, ensuring the Facility’s acceptance.Liaise regularly with actors and organisations working on similar themes in areas of operation, with a view to promoting cross-learning.Provide regular inputs into learning, communications and advocacy initiatives.Collaborate actively with the MEAL Manager, learning partners and the Third-Party.Monitoring consultant to support monitoring of partnerships and projects, and propose adaptations if required.Responsible for drafting or providing inputs to reports, updates, and briefing notes as necessary.Coordinate with NRC Country and Area Offices as needed and keep them regularly appraised of major developments in areas of operation.Any other reasonable tasks as assigned by line manager or Facility Director. Minimum 3 years of experience as a manager Advanced University degree in social sciences, international development, conflict studies, public policy or another related field.Prior expertise working on programming with humanitarian, development or peace actors in Yemen or the Middle East region is mandatory.Proven experience working on partnerships with local organisations.Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities.Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and verbal. Specific knowledge of German development cooperation is an advantage but not essential.Demonstrated experience in representation and advocacy.Encouragement for female candidates.
