Background:
The DCOP will provide technical and administrative oversight for all aspects of project implementation. The DCOP will interact frequently with USAID/Ethiopia, government counterparts, implementing partners and other key stakeholders. The DCOP will ensure program quality across all aspects of the project. During the first phase of the activity, the DCOP will be twinned with a highly experienced COP who will provide the DCOP with mentoring and coaching support. The DCOP will then transition to the COP role by the third year of the activity. This phased approach will guarantee rapid startup and compliance from day one while expanding the potential candidate pool beyond those with demonstrated USAID COP experience (e.g., women or other underrepresented groups).
