We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Deput Chief of Party (DCOP) for an upcoming Higher Education opportunity in Burma. This position is contingent upon award and may be based in Burma or other locations in Southeast Asia.

Project Description:

The Burma Diversity and Inclusion Scholarship Program (DISP) will support individuals to access Higher Education (HE) opportunities within Burma and across Southeast Asia. It is anticipated that the activity will identify and select scholarship candidates, provide scholars with pre-academic training and wrap around services, and facilitate service learning and alumni engagement activities.

Position Description:

The DCOP is responsible for technical design and implementation of a scholarship program that is transparent, flexible, conflict sensitive, and responsive to the needs of individual scholars and their communities. The DCOP will work with education stakeholders, Higher Education institutions and implementing partners to ensure scholars have access to safe, responsive, high-quality learning learning opportunities and support services. The DCOP will provide technical guidance to implementing partners to ensure activities are informed by global best practices and coordinated with other education initiatives. The DCOP’s role will have a major focus on achieving results and supporting implementing partners to deliver services on time and on budget. The DCOP will lead technical meetings and maintain positive relationships with donors, education officials, INGO partners, and sub-awardees. The DCOP will oversee technical specialists and, at times, act as the Chief of Party.
