Request for Proposal (RFP) and Terms of References (TOR) for Consulting agency to run Community Plays in Menia and Beni Suef

The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) Cairo/Egypt office is seeking a qualified consulting agency to implement six community plays for smallholders at Menia and Beni Suef. IFPRI is implementing an impact evaluation assessment for Agriculture Innovations Project (AIP) implemented by GIZ. AIP project aims to sustain and increase the income of smallholder farmers in Upper Egypt, through the adoption of agricultural innovations. Part of these interventions will be in a form of Community Plays to smallholders, addressing how the new digital tools can enhance market access and commercialization. IFPRI implements this activity under the Evaluating Impact and Building Capacity (EIBC) project, funded by the USAID, and in collaboration with GIZ.

IFPRI requires the consulting agency to execute the following Terms of Reference (TOR) provides details on the background and indicative requirements for the consulting agency.

Specific DELIVERABLES:

1. Implement 6 theatrical performances in Menia and Beni Suef (3 in Menia and 3 in Beni Seuf)

2. Provide all resources needed to ensure a timely implementation of the play (e.g. directors, community actors, and necessary technical material)

3. Provide 6 data shows, screens and speakers

Required Qualifications:

1. Past experience in dealing with international development organizations in implementing different capacity building activities.

2. Familiarity with Menia and Beni Suef governorates’ rural context

Contract terms:

1. Work starts within 5 days from signing the service contract

2. Contract duration is 5 – 6 weeks

3. Contract is considered completed upon completion of the service
