Background

Habibi VAltiberina – HAVA is an association born in 2013, recognized by AICS, the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation. HAVA promotes and fosters initiatives in all fields concerning development and human rights protection in Palestine, Jordan and Lebanon. HAVA is legally registered in Jordan since October 2018 where it works closely with refugees who fled from ISIS persecution, mainly Iraqi and Syrian, and with vulnerable Jordanians, such as women, youth and persons with disabilities. The association expertise includes vocational trainings providing participants with high quality skills to sustain their economic and social inclusion in the host community. Recently, HAVA have been supporting the establishment of productive workshops in garment production, dairy products, food and hospitality in Amman, Karak and Ajloun governatorates.

We are currently renewing and boosting our communication strategy, both on line and off line, with the aim of improving our brand positioning and better marking out the Association’s profile. In this process it is essential to optimise HAVA’s presence on different on-line and off-line channels. We are therefore looking for a Communication manager to strengthen the Communication and Brand Unit for producing and supervising HAVA Communication and Media Plan.

Objectives

Under the supervision of the Country Director and in close collaboration with Italy Office, the Communication Coordinator will:

· structure the development and growth of brand awareness, reputation and engagement of the Association by optimising communication elements and by addressing them on different media presently used (website, social media and newsletter).

· Coordinate communication activities in different projects and plan fund-raising campaigns.

· Plan and implement a permanent campaign for 5x1000 funding.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare communication material for social campaign.
  • Participate in the selection of topics, contents, images for communication of implementing projects.
  • Design and implement the whole cycle of communication material production, on paper and audiovisual, within the planned budget and deadline.
  • Edit the writing and supervise the layout of material’s contents and institutional publication (I.g. Annual Report)
  • Prepare periodical reports on communication activities including clear results indicators.
  • Supervise the permanent campaign on 5x1000
  • Participate in Communication activities related to specific projects collaborating with colleagues from other units.
  • Prepare monthly newsletter
  • Prepare, advertise and monitor multimedia contents within the Association’ social-media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube)
  • Produce and advertise integrated communication campaign.
  • Implement training courses on Marketing and Communication for project’s beneficiaries and/or for internal training sessions.

Required Skills and Experience

Education

  • University Degree in Communication/Journalism/Marketing

Or

University Degree in Humanities or Social Science and Master Degree in Communication/Marketing

Language Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of Italian, both written and oral.
  • Fluency in English, written and oral
  • Arabic is an asset

Experience

  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in Communications with Agencies, media centres or organisations.
  • Strong knowledge of social media copywriting and communication campaign.
  • Capacity to analyze main KPI and advertising metric
  • Sound knowledge of CMS WordPress Platform
  • Sound knowledge and management experience of Facebook e Instagram

  • Sound knowledge of Office Package (Word, Excell, PowerPoint) Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere) and Google Analytics

  • Experience in No-profit organizations desirable.

· Sound knowledge of Newsletter Platform (Mailchimp or Mailup)
