Job description

The CPS is a program for preventing violence and promoting peace in crisis and conflict regions. In Lebanon, the CPS supports Civil society organizations, individuals and educational institutions in the planning and implementation of projects in the fields of peacebuilding and conflict sensitivity.

Your tasks

As part of your service as a development worker, you will take on the following tasks:

Strengthening partner organizations working with refugees and host communities in the field of MHPSS Develop and conduct trainings and workshops on MHPSS for staff of partner organizations Identify needs and support partner organizations to create Staff Care/Self Care mechanisms Support our partner organizations dealing with traumatized persons and awareness raising in this regard Support the staff care working group of GIZ Lebanon and the CPS Lebanon team Support partner organizations in increasing their social media representation in the field of MHPSS Identify local and international partners in the field of MHPSS, establishing new partnerships and network structures Introduce and support gender perspectives in cooperation with our partner organizations

Your profile

University degree in humanities, social sciences, social work, or psychology Knowledge in the field of conflict-sensitive project work in an international context Experience on the topic of MHPSS and in organizational development Previous experience in the region desirable High cultural sensitivity in a multi-confessional context Work experience in emergency aid projects and non-profit organisations desirable Ability to work in a team, in a creative, partnership- and process-oriented way, as well as resilience and high frustration tolerance Fluent English skills; fluent Arabic skills desired

The security situation is tense. Tailored security risk mitigation measures are in place for GIZ staff in country. GIZ staff must adhere to security measures at all times. Notes

GIZ's Development Service is looking forward to applications of candidates with a professional qualification and / or university degree and at least two years of professional experience. In addition you hold the German nationality or the nationality of a member state of the European Union.

Willingness to travel on a regular basis is required.
