Job description

This program is commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and is implemented by GIZ. By its project \"Strengthening Civil Conflict Transformation and Social Participation in Lebanon through Community Work and Mediation\" dialogue work is used to stimulate a change in attitudes at various levels of society to reduce the propensity to violence in dealing with conflicts in the long term.

Your tasks

Assist partner organizations in the creation of conflict-sensitive dialogue spaces Strengthening capacities of partner organizations in conflict transformation, dialogue and gender/diversity including the CPS Team Supporting partner organizations in organizing events that empower Lebanese youth to advocate and raise awareness for topics relevant to social and environmental change Strengthening the capacities of partner organizations in organizational development, e.g., increasing visibility of the organization, fundraising, planning & monitoring Support and implement gender sensitive approaches and projects within the CPS program and team members

Your profile

University degree in humanities, social sciences, social work Proven work experience in implementing conflict sensitive dialogue approaches in an international context Proven experience in the design and implementation of trainings and workshops in the field of conflict transformation and peace building for civil society organizations Working experience in organizational development, and conflict sensitivity Working experience in diversity with special focus on gender Ability to work in a team, in a creative, partnership- and process-oriented way, as well as resilience and high ambiguity tolerance Fluent English language skills: Arabic language skills are advantageous Previous experience in the region is an asset
