Role and responsibilities: The Camp Management Officer is a member of NRC’s Camp Management Team in Rakhine State that provides direct camp management services to Thet Kae Pyin and Maw Ti Ngar camps as well as capacity building and coaching of committees in the camps. They will also reach out to IDPs living outside camps and the host community. 

Generic responsibilities:

Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines Assist with the implementation of the Camp Management portfolio according to the plan of actionConduct camp management field activities independently according to the work plan and targetsPrepare and develop camp context situation analysis reports weekly basisManage, monitor and support camp based team for the daily assignments Ensure proper filing of the project supporting documents at camp offices and using Microsoft Office 365Promote and share ideas for improvement of the camp management response Contribute to the fulfilment of the aims and objectives for NRC’s presence in Myanmar.Carry out duties with respect to NRC Mission Statement, Values, Code of Conduct, standards of accountability, policy guidelines and handbooks

Specific responsibilities:

The Camp Management Officer – Field Operations (camps based) will be expected to perform the following tasks:

Supervise, recruit, and manage community-based workers from Thet Kae Pyin and Maw Ti Nger CampsOverseeing camp management activities in the camps according to the project work planOrganise and facilitate camp-level Camp Coordination meetings with other service providers and representation from camp committeesMaintain and build up good relations with stakeholders; CMCs, service providers, etc. and the communities in the campsOversee service monitoring & data collection and use data collection tools proficiently  Lead implementation of the rapid needs assessments, outcome monitoring and post-distribution monitoring exerciseSubmit context analysis report to Camp Management senior colleagues which comprises updates of service provisions, contextual changes and challengesEnsure to running and managing of camp offices and community centres properly with the fully equipped necessityOversee and conduct regular shelter monitoring – in order to identify shelter and infrastructure needs and gaps in the campsCoordinate with service providers on gap filling, arising needs, and referrals at the field levelConduct qualitative assessments, key informant interviews and focus group discussions to identify community needs and gaps, reducing duplications in the fieldPlan and manage distributions of NFIs either for blanket population or specifically to PSNs in line with distribution SOPPrepare contextualised training materials and conduct training for community members and camp based workersAssist the team in identifying and responding to emergency casesParticipate in any other activities as needed upon Line Manager Guidance
