Votre environnement de travail

Since 2013, ACF has played a pivotal role in responding to the dire humanitarian crisis in Iraq, stemming from the sudden influx of refugees escaping the Syrian crisis and the conflicts with ISIS.

Iraq, renowned as the \"Land of Two Rivers,\" carries a history spanning thousands of years. Ancient Mesopotamia, nestled between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, stands as a testament to one of the world's earliest centers of culture and learning.

The humanitarian situation in Iraq is characterized by profound challenges, with several critical needs demanding urgent attention: Internally Displaced People (IDPs): Over 1.5 million Iraqis have been internally displaced, forced to flee their homes due to conflicts and violence. The displacement crisis poses immediate challenges in providing shelter, healthcare, and basic necessities. Refugees: More than 500,000 individuals sought refuge in neighboring countries, emphasizing the transboundary impact of the crises in Iraq. Ensuring the well-being of refugees, including access to education and livelihood opportunities, remains a priority. The recent conflict with ISIS has left a tragic legacy, with thousands of individuals missing. Families continue to search for their loved ones, and the humanitarian community endeavors to address the emotional, psychological, and practical consequences of this crisis. The country is also facing the harsh consequences of climate change and faces a growing lack of water.
