FHI 360 is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Technical Director for an anticipated five year USAID-funded Local Health Systems Solutions (LHESS) Activity in Liberia.
The LHESS Activity will seek to achieve the following key objectives:
Job Summary:
The Technical Director will provides technical leadership on the LHESS Activity. They will, under the guidance of the Chief of Party and FHI 360 leadership, establish and continually refine technical frameworks, approaches, tools, and activities for that project. They will identify specialized partnership needs, engage qualified partners to ensure technical performance, and oversee their performance. They will support the capacity development of local partners as appropriate. They will monitor all technical aspects of a project from initiation through delivery. They will ensure completion of project technical deliverables are on schedule and within budget constraints. They will manage technical advisors and other staff, and mentor and develop them to ensure technical objectives are met. They will contribute project experience and learning to national and global thought leadership initiatives.
Employment is contingent upon successful award of the project to FHI 360, as well as USAID approval of the finalist.
