POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Strategic Information Intern

Location: Country Office, Abuja

Supervisor: Technical Officer, Core Strategic Information

Job Summary:

The Strategic Information Intern will support the Strategic Information (SI) team in the implementation of SI activities and assist in granular data analysis and provision of strategic information feedback.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Data Collection and Management:
    - Assist in the collection of program data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
    - Support in organizing and managing project-related documents and reports.
  • Data Analysis:
    - Assist in analyzing project level data to inform data-driven implementation and generate relevant reports and visuals for stakeholders.
  • Reporting:
    - Contribute to the preparation of regular Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) reports, progress updates, and presentations.
    - Support the timely submission of reports to and other deliverables to donors.
  • Capacity Building:
    - Participate in training workshops to enhance understanding of data collection tools, methodologies, and project objectives.
  • Learning and Collaboration:
    - Actively engage in team meetings, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Compliance and Ethics:
    - Adhere to FHI 360's policies, protocols, and standard operating procedures.
    - Maintain strict confidentiality of all project-related data and information.

    Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:

    • Basic understanding of monitoring and evaluation concepts and methodologies.
    • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
    • Articulate, professional, and able to communicate in a clear, positive manner with staff.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, fluency in English (both written and spoken)
    • Highly developed analytical skills and strong problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced workplace to produce high-quality work.

      Qualifications and Requirements:

      MBBS/MD, Bachelor's, degree or its International Equivalent Medical Sciences, Statistics, Pharmacy, or related field with 1-3 years of Post NYSC relevant work experience.
