Terms of ReferenceFor periods during which the Resettlement Expert is not engaged in reviews, he/she will reinforce the capacity of the applicable office in carrying out case identification and profiling, resettlement interviews and RRF drafting and support in other areas identified for capacity development. As such the deployment requires an individual that is highly motivated and with a high level of flexibility.
The Resettlement Expert’s tasks, responsibilities and deliverables are as follows:
• Review profiling forms and RRFs prepared by resettlement profilers and caseworkers (target: 5 RRFs per day, or a combination of RRFs and profiling forms);
• In reviewing RRFs, verify that caseworkers complete the RRFs ensuring that photographs, signatures and all supporting documents are in order.
• In reviewing profiling forms, verify that the profilers address any inconsistencies and credibility concerns.
• The Resettlement Expert will also support in other case processing such as, carrying out resettlement interviews and drafting RRFs during the period of assignment.
• Regularly record resettlement events in ProGres v4, and ensure that all information pertaining to the cases is correctly captured;
• Ensure that reviewed profiling forms are ready on a weekly basis, for inclusion in the weekly schedule of the resettlement interviews;
• Ensure that RRFs and supporting documents are prepared and finalized for referral to the Regional Bureau in accordance with the SOPs, policies and priorities, including through missions as and when required;
• Ensure proper follow-up of cases with profilers and caseworkers, to avoid the creation of backlogs;
• Undertake other duties as may be assigned.
