NRC Protection from Violence (PfV) supports communities’ right to freedom from violence, coercion, and deliberate deprivation. PfV seeks to prevent or mitigate the consequences of violence. When violence does occur, PfV aims to mitigate the harm through dedicated support to individuals, households, and communities. NRC launched PfV globally and in Palestine on 01 January 2022. Currently, within PfV, NRC is implementing Individual Protection Services in Gaza. Within this project, in the West Bank, NRC will launch its PfV activities for the first time starting primarily with Individual Response Services (Protection Case Management and Individual Protection Assistance) as well as Protection Monitoring.
The purpose of the Protection from Violence Technical Assistant position is to implement protection monitoring and individual protection assistance activities.
This Position is contingent upon donor approval and funding.
Specific responsibilities
Conduct protection from violence assessments and collect data for violence incident or trends monitoring. Complete all relevant tools to effectively and accurately capture protection from violence information; and implement appropriate, safe data management practices, as delegated. Implement individual protection assistance as needed Develop strong connections and networks with relevant stakeholders and community members to ensure timely and accurate information on violence and coercion experienced or threatened against people is documented and available for inclusion in protection from violence analyses. Draft activity reports and complete all required documentation, as delegated. Assist in identification of relevant changes and/or trends related to the violence in his/her area of intervention. Assist the team in identifying and responding to emergency cases, especially internal referrals. Prepare procurement requests for material assistance in-line with case plans and ensure project documents are collected and saved offline and online Contribute to implementation of Safe and Inclusive Programming Minimum Standards across your area of workGeneric professional competencies:
Experience working in a humanitarian/recovery context Knowledge and experience within a relevant administration, craft or technical field and ideally a relevant vocational qualification. Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts. Knowledge of English Language.Context/ Specific skills, knowledge and experience:
Experience in community engagement or community outreach activities Experience in data collection or enumeration and an understanding of safe and inclusive information management approaches and standards. Experience with psychosocial support preferred.Behavioural competencies

The position is based in Hebron with some travel to Jerusalem Duty Station.
Type of Contract: One year, renewable upon availability of funding.
Salary: Grade 4 based upon the NRC grading Scale. Salary and benefits as per Jerusalem Duty Station
