ICRISAT seeks applications for Project Associate I ? Computational Biology for IRRI to implement computational strategies to better withstand pests and emerging rice diseases in close collaboration with IRRI-NARES partners. The position is within the Rice Breeding Innovations Platform-South Asia Region.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Haplotype diversity analysis and identification of superior haplotypes for different traits.
Perform next-generation sequencing analysis, with the expertise in Whole genome resequencing, and transcriptome data analysis.
Having good knowledge of evolutionary analysis with proven track records with publications.
Analyze varied genomic data sets (transcriptomics, resequencing, genome annotation, metagenomics, etc.)
Run software and scripts while keeping excellent records
Design, execute, and interpret experiments to provide recommendations for product development strategies
Recruitment:
Masters in Bioinformatics/Computational Biology from a recognized research institute/university.
Proven ability to implement GAB for crop improvement.

Minimum experience of 0-3 years
