About the job

Based in The Hague, Netherlands you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour.

The Joint Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Centre (JISRC) is responsible for accomplishing the full life cycle of assigned JISR services. The GeoMetOc Services Branch within the JISR Centre is responsible for the full lifecycle support of the GeoMetOC, IMINT and GEOINT Application Service.

You will lead the implementation and support of a range of important technical projects in several warfighting areas focusing on the project management, development, testing and deployment of GeoMetOC, IMINT and GEOINT Application Services and you will coordinate as NCIA program manager the planning of future GeoMetOC, IMINT and GEOINT capabilities with other NATO stakeholders.

About you

We are looking for a talented and knowledgeable Project Manager with a Master’s degree and 5 years of post-related experience.

A different qualification coupled with particularly relevant experience may also be considered.

You should also have:

  • A formal Project Management qualification such as PRINCE 2 or PMI PMP
  • Recent extensive experience (at least five years) and successful track record of Project Management of acquisition and/or development integration projects with GIS and CIS components for large defence organizations in areas such as GeoMetOC, IMINT, SIGINT and GEOINT
  • Recent extensive experience (at least five years) involvement in capability planning processes for GeoMetOC, IMINT and GEOINT services
  • Strong knowledge of NATO Geospatial systems and capabilities utilizing GIS technologies and their roles and responsibilities (preferably in NATO operations)
  • Strong knowledge and experience in state-of-the-art GIS technologies, relevant to the work, including application potential by all military communities of interest in  NATO as well as in Nations
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with good briefing skills and the ability to produce clear and concise formal documents
  • Recognised track record in dealing and communicating with stakeholders at enterprise level, understanding their needs, operational requirements and requests, and in advising on constructive ways forward
  • Proactive attitude in seeking and maintaining trust from stakeholders
  • Experience of effectively leading multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
  • Experience with enterprise Project Management tools such as Microsoft Project or EPM

     

    Knowledge of English, both written and spoken, is essential.
