Project Summary:
The Department of State/INL Jerusalem’s Security Sector Assistance Project (SSAP) seeks to strengthen the civilian rule-of-law in the West Bank by improving institutional capacity to provide and sustain basic police services and investigate criminal activity in accordance with universal standards of justice and human rights. In addition, government authorities and citizens will gain a better understanding of security and criminal threats and will act with mutual respect to address these threats. Position Summary:
The PCP Mentor Assistant will support the technical implementation of the SSAP project by assisting in developing and implementing plans that are complementary to efforts taken by international organizations and institutions, help the program manager develop fiscally responsible approaches, help develop a community outreach plan and assist in the process of developing a robust community outreach plan with an emphasis on conflict-resolution.
