Senior Officer - Payroll and Benefits


ICRISAT seeks application from professionals who can perform a specialist role of a Senior Officer -  Payroll and Benefits to be hired in Human Resources Services.  The position will report to Manager, Human Resources Services. This position will be hired through a National Recruitment Process, on a contract basis for a period of three years. A new contract may be offered at the end of the present tenure based on the performance of the incumbent, funding availability, and the institute's continuing need for the position.

Primary Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible to:

 

·       Review, verify and process payroll, final settlement, and vendor payments as per the Institutional Standard Operating Procedure

·   Execute multi-step and intricate payroll, Compensation, and Benefits processes according to established organisation standards.

·   Develop and implement a compensation and benefits structure to maximise staff and Institute efficacy in accordance with established policies.

·       Communicate with teams and addresses issues of staff related to payroll and full & final settlements, benefits, and compensation structures.

·     Explain payroll variances to partners and relevant internal stakeholders and corresponding actions that affect the payroll delivery.

·      Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to review and enable the administration of compensation revisions, philosophy, and statutory & non-statutory benefits.

·       Error-free and timely payout of payroll and final settlement

·  Service consistency while factoring in adjustments due to dynamic environmental forces in the tasks.

·  Sustains quality of compensation and benefits programs/processes through adaptation to changing operational demands and stakeholder feedback

 

Candidate profile

· A Master’s degree (preferred) in Human Resources, Business Administration, Payroll, Compensations or any related fields

·       A Minimum 8 years of Payroll and Compensation Benefits administration experience required with at least 5 global Payroll administration

·       Understanding of Payroll Processes, Taxation laws and procedures

·   Ability to analyse complex problems, interpret operational needs, and develop creative solutions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to produce accurate work.

·  Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Microsoft Excel skills

·   Excellent communication, stakeholder orientation, problem-solving and analytical skills utilized in effectively collaborating with team members at all levels throughout the organization

•     High-level written, oral and interpersonal communication skills in English and other language

 

General:

 

This is a contractual position for a period of 36 months.
