Based in Oglananasi, Turkey (Izmir region) you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour. You will be responsible for advising the Satellite Ground Station (SGS) Commander and Ground Service Delivery Manager on all matters related to the operations and maintenance of the SGS.

About you
We’re looking for a talented and knowledgeable SATCOM professional with ideally a Bachelor’s degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 3 years post-related experience. A different qualification coupled with particularly relevant experience may also be considered.
- At least 3 years’ experience in the operation or maintenance of satellite ground terminals/stations or related systems, such as radars or Line-Of-Sight systems;
- Antenna sub-system, including: Radome, feed horn, reflector, pedestal, waveguides, tracking receiver, servo and drive equipment;
- Transmit and receive chains, including: up and down converters, Low Noise Amplifiers, High Power Amplifiers;
- MODEMs, Electronic Protected Modem Systems (EMS), cryptographic equipment, routers, switches;
- Computer-assisted Monitor and Control System (M&CS);
- GPS-disciplined Frequency Reference Standards, and associated distribution systems;
- AC Power distribution equipment, emergency AC Power generation and associated fuel storage, and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS);
- Heating, Ventilation, and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) systems;
- Digital-Line-of-Sight (DLOS), Fibre-Optic cables, and other tail systems;
- In-depth knowledge of digital techniques;
- TCP/IP fundamentals, video transmission principles, and telecommunications quality assurance practices;
- Servo-mechanisms; and Emergency power generating systems;
- The development, implementation, fielding, testing and maintenance of modern communications equipment;
- On-line performance, accounting, fault, security and configuration management of digital networks and associated transmission systems, to include; packet switching systems in support of voice & data transfer;
- Logistic Support; managing the supply and replenishment of spare parts, dispatch of faulty units for repair;
- Familiarity with related international/commercial/industrial standards;
Knowledge of English, both written and spoken, is essential.
