Under the supervision of the Communication Specialist and in close coordination with C4D, Health Section, the RCCE working group/lead and other relevant stakeholders, the consultant will provide technical assistance and coordinate the implementation of: the social listening initiative in aspects of social media monitoring using Talkwalker and other modalities, coordinating with other sources of
social listening, and support with digital/online content production and dissemination linked to vaccination.
The consultancy will also, working together with other colleagues, focus on the establishment and coordination of a Media Crisis Hub that will be run day-to-day by a PR agency for the urgent, rapid deployment of response writers and coordinators in coordination with the MoHP. The Media Crisis Hub will require writers and the coordinator to work in 2 shifts seven days a week. The UNICEF designated
coordinator will be expected to lead and supervise the media monitoring and analysis and response drafting activities and interface with relevant stakeholders. She or he will coordinate between partners for smooth functioning of the Media Crisis Hub.

The total duration of the consultancy is 11 months tentatively starting from 15 February 2021.
Duty Station: The consultant will be based in Kathmandu, working remotely.

Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Digital Media, Health Communication or related field.
Five years of progressively responsible and relevant professional work experience in digital-based communication, marketing, PR is an asset.
Language Proficiency / Computer Skills
Written and spoken fluency in English. Knowledge of local language of the country where the support is needed will be advantage.
Functional Skills and Knowledge
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written are required. Working knowledge of the private sector in Nepal and Youth related networks is an advantage.
Other Skills: Computer literacy: Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications, Email. Familiarity and experience of using desktop publishing and multimedia production applications will be considered as an asset.
