The Position:

Programme Coordinator-SRHR will integrated SRHR and GBV Projects both in development and humanitarian settings. The ideal candidate will have substantive experience working with the MoHFW and other relevant Ministries at planning and decision-making level.

Programme Coordinator-SRHR will work under direct supervision of the Chief of Health, UNFPA, the Consultant will be responsible for working with the MoHFW, the World Bank, the Implementing Partners and the relevant units of UNFPA in Dhaka and Cox’s Bazar.

The Consultant will be responsible for:

Develop and finalise HGS project closer report (both programmatic and financial) in close collaboration with SRHR and other units; Completion of the documentation of ongoing experience from current HGS-CXB for lessons learned, and best practices, and support to disseminate with appropriate stakeholders; Finalise video documentation on contributions of HGS project in the Cox’s Bazar district; Assist SRHR unit to finalise the English version of web-based CMR module, mobile version of CMR module in Bangla and English and finally get approval for dissemination among the stakeholders including MOHFW, donor and other relevant stakeholders. Support programme team in designing, budgeting and developing M&E framework for upcoming ISO project in line with Government/WB and UNFPA’s priorities; Any other assignment recommended by the SRHR unit, UNFPA.

Key Deliverables:

A comprehensive Project Completion report of HGS-CXB with narrative and financial report. Final version of HGSP assessment documentation (soft copy) Final version of HGSP video documentation (soft copy) Final English version of web-based CMR module and mobile-friendly CMR module.

Qualifications and Experience:

Education: Master’s degree in public health with background in medicine, epidemiology, population, demography, gender and/or other related social science field. Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the field of sexual and reproductive health, with experience in programme/project management. At least two years of experience managing large scale donor funded projects would be desirable. Demonstrated experience in coordination and liaison with government and civil society counterparts, UN agencies, private sectors, development partners, and CBOs Initiative, strong conceptual and analytical skills, sound judgment, liaison skills, negotiation skills, administrative and management skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills Proficiency in current office software applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and other presentation software). Strong advocacy and coordination skills and public health management. Fluent in English with excellent writing proficiency. Familiarity with UNFPA’s mandate and work.

Duration: 6 Months

Place where services are to be delivered: UNFPA Bangladesh Country Office.

Delivery dates and how work will be delivered (e.g. electronic, hard copy etc.):The consultant will provide technical assistance on daily basis as per UN working day/hours and will be paid on monthly basis. The work will be submitted as deliverables identified above under scope of work. These would be electronic and where needed hard copies.

Monitoring and progress control, including reporting requirements, periodicity format and deadline:

The consultant will be expected to work from UNFPA Office or remotely with regular in-person meetings to be held at UNFPA country office and partners offices. The Chief of Health will provide day-to-day monitoring and supervision.

Supervisory arrangements: The consultant will work under the direct supervision of the Chief of Health, UNFPA and will collaborate with SRH Specialist for day-to-day activities.

Expected travel: The Consultant will have to make her/his own arrangements and bear cost to attend meetings and consultations while in Dhaka. UNFPA will pay for any work-related travel outside Dhaka.

Inputs/services to be provided by UNFPA or implementing partner (e.g support services, office space, equipment), if applicable: The consultant will have to use his/her own laptop.

Payment Instruction: The payment will be provided monthly basis after submission of monthly report.

Other relevant information or special conditions:

The tools, reports or documents or any part, cannot be sold, used, or reproduced in any manner without the prior written approval of UNFPA.
