Proposal Objective:

SI is preparing for an upcoming USAID/Senegal monitoring and evaluation support project, expected to provide comprehensive MEL, capacity building, and program support technical assistance to USAID/Senegal, implementing partners, and local organizations. The project is expected to last five years.

Position Description:

SI is seeking a full-time Local Logistics and Program Support Specialist to support administration, logistics, and operations tasks for the project. The Specialist would report to the Finance and Administration Manager. The position will be full-time over the duration of the project, and will be based in Dakar.

**Please note: This is a local position. Only candidates with Senegalese citizenship will be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the security point of contact for the project, ensuring security and safety procedures are in place for the project staff.
  • Plan and support all logistics for monitoring activities, evaluation activities, and other project activities.
  • Ensure smooth operations by coordinating with drivers, translators, interpreters, venues, caterers, suppliers, activity-specific logisticians, etc.
  • Mobilize personnel and consultants by arranging travel and lodging.
  • Maintain and update the project’s calendar of activities.
  • Coordinate on and support as needed on any ad hoc program support tasks as issued by USAID/Senegal.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience supporting complex and varied activities and tasks, preferably with an international organization in the international development sector.
  • Experience in organizing logistics and technical support to ensure technical deliverables are completed.
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Oral and written French fluency and professional proficiency in English.
  • Experience working with USAID-funded projects in a similar capacity preferred.
