Job description

Chad is currently going through a transitional phase. The spaces available to civil society to deal constructively with this situation are limited, and the reference that would enable positive identification with the country's cultural diversity are lacking.
The primary project's objective is to ensure that young people, as \"agents of change\", play a positive role in this transitional phase and in preventing violent conflict, while contributing to social cohesion through various forms of cultural expression. Capacity-building combined with financial support will help to strengthen cultural centres and other event spaces in their role as meeting places, to increase the quantity and quality of artistic production on important subjects to society, and to extend and diversify the target audience.

Your tasks

Participation in advising the cooperation partners on content-related and conceptual issues relating to the promotion of the cultural sector Contribution to write and to prepare presentations and publications on the project After successful familiarisation into the project, increasing responsibility for project management tasks Participation in event management and networking activities Contribution to knowledge management and monitoring for the project Performing tasks as part of an intercultural team Participation in cooperation with local partners with whom solutions are to be jointly designed and developed

Your profile

University degree in the field of culture, art history or performing arts, or equivalent studies Initial professional experience in cultural centers and on the arts scene (e.g. through internships) Specialist knowledge of themes relating to African art and culture Initial practical experience in international cooperation / development cooperation Initial experience of working abroad and/or in developing countries as part of an internship or study visit would be an advantage Excellent conceptual, analytical and consultancy skills Fluent in French; knowledge of German and Arabic would be an asset
