Terms of ReferenceRecruitment of a locally hired Individual Contractor at Mid-level (G-5 equivalent staff grade).
The Individual Contractor will work under the supervision of the Snr Protection Associate to do research to 3-4 best practices of semi long-term (flexible) housing projects and if possible deliver UNHCR recommendations on establishing semi long-term (Flexible) housing for refugees, asylum seekers and displaced persons from Ukraine over 2 months.
Under the direct supervision of the Snr Protection Associate, the contractor will be responsible for:
- Identifying a minimum of four best practice municipalities where semi long-term flexible housing units are being used as reception/accommodation for refugees, asylum seekers and displaced persons from Ukraine.
- Interviewing relevant employees from the four identified municipalities;
- Interviewing other stakeholders (e.g NGOs, refugees, asylum seekers and displaced persons from Ukraine) involved in the day-to-day running of the flexible housing projects.
- Drafting and finalizing the guidance and UNHCR recommendations on establishing semi long-term (Flexible) housing for refugees, asylum seekers and displaced persons from Ukraine.
- Performing other related duties as required.
Qualification and experience required:
• Excellent drafting skills; team player; excellent command of English.
• Minimum 1 year of previous job experience relevant to the function with a high school diploma, none required with a bachelor's or master's degree.
• Previous UNHCR experience and experience in reception monitoring.
• Understanding of the Dutch asylum context.
