The HR & Support Unit is responsible for the duty of care framework for experts deployed by NORCAP. The duty of care framework consists of the following aspects: Contracts, Conditions of appointment, Code of conduct, Compensation and benefits, Health, Safety and security and Staff care. The unit holds in addition responsibilities for certain administrative functions in the department.

Role and responsibilities

The HR coordinator is part of the HR & Support unit and will be assigned specific responsibilities within the unit.

 Generic responsibilities

Responsible for assuring compliance with all NRC and NORCAP’s policies, procedures, and branding Contribute to the work and responsibilities in the HR and support unit and duty of care framework  Ensure collaboration across the section for joint goal achievement, and participation in relevant working groups, with a particular emphasis on compensation and benefit processes Keep updated on trends, developments, and regulations in the fields of expertise Contribute to effective cooperation between different Sections within NORCAP and relevant Departments and Projects of NRC Report on a regular basis to Head of Section and other stakeholders as necessary Perform other duties in the department as appropriate

Specific responsibilities

Ensure that the project teams get timely and effective service support and follow up. This includes quality assure and issue contracts as well as other tasks in the HRMS - system. Analyse, diagnose, and resolve technical issues related to the HRMS- system. Support and coordinate other HR related tasks for the NORCAP project teams within the HR section mandate. Support and coordinate on Health, safety and security arrangements for international staff Support the department and projects on trainings and events including planning, facilitation, and travel arrangements. Competencies

Generic professional competencies:

Relevant education, preferably a university degree within human resource management or equivalent. Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities Attitude of continuous improvement of systems and processes Experience from working in complex and dynamic contexts Fluent written and oral communication skills in English and Norwegian Advanced knowledge of standard ICT office support tools and systems

Specific skills, knowledge and experience:

International experience preferred Ability to work in a team structure in close collaboration with fellow team members to deliver on common goals
