Description

You will report to the Head of the Future Navigation Department and will be responsible for the implementation of the LEO PNT project (a component of the FutureNAV programme) in accordance with its Declaration, Implementing Rules and technical objectives and within the agreed cost and schedule objectives.

Duties

Your tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • consolidation and monitoring of the programmatic assumptions (costs, schedule and risks);
  • preparation of the ITT/RFQ package for industry, as well as the preparation and organisation of the TEB;
  • negotiation of Phase B/C/D/E contracts and contract management;
  • the design, development, manufacturing and testing of the space segment and relevant ground segment;
  • the overall mission-specific system integration and pre-launch verification activities;
  • execution of launch and early commissioning activities;
  • monitoring of the initial years of operations for satellite on-board performance and issues;
  • collection and management of the operational and exploitation data;
  • assessment of the mission objectives, lessons learned and recommendations for follow-up improvements;
  • preparation of the subsequent operational phase, either with institutional or commercial entities.

    You will also be responsible for identifying, assessing, managing and reporting the health and safety risks in your area of responsibility.

    Education

    A master's degree in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline is required for this post.

      The working languages of the Agency are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these is required.
      Knowledge of another Member State language would be an asset.
