UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, is offering a Global Operations Internship position within the Global Operations Unit - Private Sector Partnerships Service in our Copenhagen Headquarters in Denmark.
This exciting internship is a unique opportunity to gain experience with UNHCR`s PSP fundraising development activities in support of the refugee cause, as well as valuable experience working within the UN system.

Organizational Context
The Global Operations team sits within the Private Sector Partnerships Service (PSP) in the Department of External Relations (DER).
The Global Operations team coordinates the annual planning process and overall performs financial planning, monitoring, and reporting on performance in the fundraising network. The team is also responsible for managing the National Growth Fund, which is the main source of investment in PSP fundraising programs. The Global Operations team also supports the PSP network of UNHCR offices and National Partners in monitoring implementation and fundraising performance.
Duties and Responsibilities
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive team player, with a strong interest in communications, data analysis, digital collaboration and refugee issues, to complete a six to eight months internship with the Global Operations team.

In order to be considered for an internship, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:
Location and Conditions
The written test might be included in selection process.
The successful candidate will be based with the team in the UN City in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The internship is for six months (possibility of two months extension) and the tentative start date is May 2021. It is a full-time role with working hours starting from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM Monday to Friday (40 hours per week).
The start date is to be determined in accordance with the measures adopted by the Danish government and guidance of UNHCR regarding the COVID-19 situation. Depending on the circumstances, there is a possibility the successful candidate will perform certain duties remotely and/or from at home.
Obtaining and renewing current visas and residence permits including all associated costs, are the responsibility of the intern.
Please note that the terms of internship, as defined by UNHCR practice, include the payment of a Food and Local Transportation Allowance (FLTA). In case the intern is sponsored by another source during the internship this will be deducted from the FLTA.
