THE OPPORTUNITY

Plan International is one of the oldest and largest international development agencies in the world. In the Philippines, Plan works with children and their families in poor communities with programs covering disaster risk management, youth economic empowerment, nutrition, and child protection.

Plan International invites highly competent, experienced, and committed professionals to fill the following position:

The General Services Staff will provide logistical support services to the Occidental Mindoro Program Area office. These include analysis, monitoring, and execution of procurement transactions, system operation, and logistics support

Further, as the General Services Staff:

You will be tasked to perform accurately the creation of Purchase Orders within the online system You will facilitate biddings and demonstrate sound judgment on endorsing recommendations of the Procurement Committee You will receive purchase items and inspect if specifications are met. You will prepare transmittal receipts on all issued and returned items to the concerned party for documentation and recording purposes. You will assist in the documentation of in/out of assets. You will assist the needed repair of the building, lighting, Water faucets, toilet fixtures, and office cleanliness and orderliness

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

To be successful in the role you will need among other things:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Courses in economics, purchasing, marketing, accounting, retailing, and data processing are highly desirable. Minimum of three (3) years related work experience, particularly in procurement, records management, transportation management, systematic filing; and/or work experience as a professional buyer, buyer's assistant, purchasing agent or equivalent Relevant training and experience in the use of various online or offline financial computer programs and applications. Previous work experience in a similar role or in a non-government organization/s is an advantage. Good verbal communication skills and the ability to relate to people from all backgrounds. Applicants must be based in the Philippines and a Filipino national.
