We do this by:

Provide financial advice and technical support to the operative sections Responsible for budget reviews, financial reporting and yearend closing of the projects Implement and follow up project and framework audits Coordinate and consolidate the department’s forecast and budget reporting and produce required analysis and reports as assigned by the Head of Finance  Implement robust internal control measures to uphold compliance with the donor and other stakeholder requirements Contribute to the development of financial policies, strategies, tools, and new approaches, with a focus on innovation and piloting Ensure that best practices are identified, documented, and disseminated within the department Provide capacity development and technical support and guidance related to NORCAP’s financial systems, procedures and tools for the Department. Provide regular Finance analysis and reports

Specific responsibilities 

Ensure that NORCAP set ups are adhere to Financial Handbook, NRC policies, donor, and auditor requirements. Provide technical input and advice on NRC Financial and Logistic Handbook, guidelines, and tools Provide technical input and advice on financial matters in project application, project implementation and project closing phase. Contribute to the development of Financial SOPs when necessary Deliver trainings as necessary, on NRC’s finance policy, systems and tools Monitor financial management and anti-corruption work within the area of responsibility  Provide coherent and coordinated feedback to the operative sections and NORCAP management about the financial needs and challenges of different frames and projects Other tasks assigned by Head of Finance

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience from working as a financial advisor/financial controller/finance manager or similar positions Minimum bachelor’s degree in relevant field i.e. accounting and finance Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities Experience with ensuring accounting policies are compliant with organisation policies and local regulations Experience from humanitarian sector is a plus Knowledge about Norwegian regulations is a plus Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile  Solid knowledge of computer software and modern accounting systems, e.g. Unit 4 or other ERP systems Fluency in English, Norwegian is a plus
