              Role and Responsibilities:

• Manages NRC bank accounts in Mozambique.

• Ensure the professional quality of the work of financial colleagues with guidance and 

   supervision if necessary.

• Prepares the BRS, BVA and gives advice and feedback to all field office 

• Work with managers on the development of budget proposals 

• Payroll review and payment on a timely manner

• Ensure that all taxes and social contributions are fully paid within the timeframe as per the 

   Law.

• Prepares and facilitates both internal and external audits

• Establish, in collaboration with the Finance Manager or Financial Controller, reports to 

   Donors

• Maintain budgetary control and cash flow monitoring for all bases

• Provide financial support and finance training of all field offices

• Participate in performance management of the Finance staff

                     Professional competencies: 

• Experience from working as a Finance Coordinator in a humanitarian/recovery context

• Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts

• Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities

• Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile 

• Fluency in English, both written and verbal 

               Context/ Specific skills, knowledge and experience: 

• University degree in finance and/or business management

• Strong financial and analytical skills

• Experience with ECHO, SIDA, NMFA, UN agencies, as a donor

• Experience from large/complex or multi-applicant projects with stringent donor rules is   

   advantageous

• Experience from working in a technical Finance position

• Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities

• Fluency in English and Portuguese, both written and verbal

• Understanding and experience using Agresso/Unit4 is an advantage
