We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Finance and Administration Director for an anticipated multi-year USAID Bangladesh Community Nutrition Activity. This activity aims to improve the nutrition outcomes of pregnant and lactating women, and children less than five years old in Bangladesh. The Community Nutrition Activity will also address the inequitable nutrition outcomes of the most vulnerable segments of the population through a targeted community-health system strengthening approach, which will support the country in achieving its Journey to Self-Reliance.

This position is subject to project award, funding, and USAID approval and based out of Dhaka.

JOB SUMMARY

The main function of the Finance and Administration Director will be to provide financial and administration oversight for all aspects of the project in accordance with USAID regulations. The individual will be responsible for budget forecasting, expenditure tracking, and financial analysis, as well as grant and contract management. S/he will manage, administer, and direct the control of the budget, and administrative and human resources functions. The individual will review and approve recommendations for financial planning and control and key administrative decisions, in concert with role on the senior management team. S/he will also develop and evaluate financial and operations management personnel to ensure the efficient and collaborative project support operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree or higher in management, business, accounting, finance, law, or another relevant subject.

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience in the areas of finance, accounting, operations management and/or contract management

  • Strong understanding of and demonstrated capacity to manage financial systems and procedures of projects valued at least $15 million or more

  • Experience working in the development sector and knowledge of USG or other international donor policies and procedures and management of donor funding and projects preferred

  • Strong organizational, financial reporting, management and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, to prioritize and respond in a timely manner

  • Demonstrated integrity and fidelity

  • Advanced computer skills; knowledgeable in accounting software, MS Windows, Excel, and Word

  • Fluency in oral and written English

  • CPA Certification preferred
