Background information:

In the framework of the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine (PCU's) mandate, as well as following the request from the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, the Human Security team of the PCU provides support to Ukrainian authorities and civil society in the multiplication and enhancement of the NRM for victims of trafficking in human beings in Ukraine.

Tasks:

The PCU is planning to develop and conduct regional simulation-based trainings and interactive activities for anti-trafficking practitioners, such as law enforcement, social workers, labour inspectors and civil society organizations. The main goal of the exercises is to bring together Ukrainian stakeholders dedicated specifically to anti-trafficking efforts for co-operation to effectively investigate and prosecute THB, as well as to promptly identify trafficked persons by promoting a multi-agency and human rights-based approach. The PCU requires the services of two nationally contracted Experts to develop and design the content of the simulation exercises, interactive trainings, including the components of the scenario (e.g., storyline, scripts, etc.) The anti-trafficking legislation of Ukraine will be used as a legal framework for the sake of the exercises and trainings.

The Experts are expected to:

  • elaborate the country profile, the storyline, and the characters' profiles;
  • prepare interactive presentations and respective practical assignments/case-studies for discussion on combating trafficking in human beings;
  • deliver presentations followed by practical group work assignments;
  • facilitate group work and provide all relevant expertise in Q& A sessions;
  • participate in the meetings of the working group set up and prepare and conduct trainings, if required.

All materials developed by the experts will be agreed with the PCU.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Pedagogy, Psychology, Law or related field;
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the area of combating trafficking in human beings (CTHB);
  • Professional experience in conducting trainings and developing training materials (especially using interactive training methods);
  • Knowledge of relevant national legislation and relevant procedures and practices on CTHB;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in Ukrainian; knowledge of English will be an asset;
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member;
  • Self-discipline and the ability to work according to set time limits.

Remuneration Package:

According to the PCU consultancy fees guidelines.
