Job Purpose and Organizational Context The overall objective of the project is to provide advisory support to the Government and civil society through training activities  and technical assistance with the aim of strengthening  national and local capacities to translate obligations under international human rights instruments info effective laws, regulations and policies.   Duties and Responsibilities

Provision of reliable and secure driving services Proper use of vehicle Day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle Availability of documents/ supplies 1. Provision of reliable and secure driving service: Driving office vehicles for transporting OHCHR staff, consultants and other authorized personnel

2. Proper use of vehicles:

Ensuring cost savings through proper use of vehicles through accurate maintenance of daily vehicle logs  and provision of inputs for preparation of the vehicle maintenance plans and reports

3. Proper day-to-day operation and maintenance of the assigned vehicles:

Keeping the vehicles clean and in operation condition , minor timely repairs, arrangements for minor repairs, timely changes of oil, car washing, refueling etc.

4. Keeping of documents/supplies related to driving  of vehicle:

Ensuring availability of all the required documents/ supplies including vehicle insurance, logs, office directory, map of the city/country, first aid kit, radios and required spare parts

5. Adhering to all safety regulations and rules:

Ensuring that all immediate actions required by UN rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in accidents. Valid Driver’s license. Experience: 2 years’ work experience as a driver; Safe driving record (at least 2 reference from previous employees); Knowledge of driving rules and regulations Skills in minor vehicle repair. Experience as a driver in an international organization, UN agencies, embassies should be an asset Experience of driving 4X4 vehicles will be an asset Language requirements:
