Job description

The CPS is a global program working on the prevention of violence and peacebuilding in crisis and conflict regions. The CPS regional program SAUP supports three universities in the Philippines, Timor-Leste and Cambodia developing curricula for peace and conflict studies. The aim of the program is to provide university partners with technical and human resource support in building their capacities in curriculum design and contextualisation by integrating best practices from local/traditional practices in non-violent conflict transformation.

Your tasks

Support in the promotion of the dissemination of information about the ECCC in the field of higher education Assist in the development and adoption of higher education curriculum on the legacy of the ECCC for undergraduate and graduate programs in social sciences, including peace and conflict studies, in close coordination with our partner university in Cambodia Support in the development and implementation of practical education tools and methods for teachers, learners, and researchers in the aforementioned fields Coordinate exchange study visits, internships, and other learning opportunities in the following categories: undergraduate and graduate students in peace and conflict studies, faculty researchers, and lecturers who carry out teaching Support in managing the project including administration, budgeting, monitoring, and reporting within the CPS-SAUP structures

Your profile

Master's degree or Doctor of Philosophy in Peace and Conflict Studies, Human Rights, Education, or any other relevant field Specialist knowledge and experience in curriculum development for formal education in the field of social sciences Knowledge about conflict transformation with a focus on transitional justice Professional background in social science research methods and innovative approaches Experience working with/in academic structures/institutions or actors through teaching, research/or cooperation Peace work in post-conflict/conflict setting, preferably in Southeast Asia as well as experience in international project management High level of communication and facilitation skills Regional knowledge and high intercultural competence, respect, empathy and experience in working in a resource limited/dormant environment Creativity and the ability to adapt to a very dynamic working environment with a high level of resiliency, patience with the ability in self-organization, structured and strategic thinking Buisness English fluency
