It strives to build a world in which conflicts are resolved without resorting to violence. Nine German peace and development organisations run the CPS in cooperation with local partners. CPS experts support people on the ground in their commitment for dialogue, human rights and peace on a long-term basis. Currently, more than 350 international CPS experts are active in 45 countries. The CPS Programme in the Great Lakes region is working with 11 Partner Organisations in Rwanda, Burundi and the Eastern Democratic Republic (D.R.) Congo. The CPS supports them in the use of dialogue to address differences in a constructive way, manage existing social conflicts and reflect on how past experiences of violence and sexual and gender-based violence are dealt with. Thereby adolescents and young adults shall be aware of the risks of gender-based and ethnic stereotypes and prejudices, their potential for manipulation as well as their influence on social cohesion.

GIZ's Development Service is looking forward to applications of candidates with a professional qualification and / or university degree and at least two years of professional experience. In addition you hold the German nationality or the nationality of a member state of the European Union.
