The Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) and World Agroforestry (ICRAF) envision a more equitable world where trees in all landscapes, from drylands to the humid tropics, enhance the environment and well-being for all. The position holder will lead and be involved in various participatory action research on improving sustainable agricultural, agroforesty and forestry practices and livelihood resilience.
The position holder will address diverse ecosystems in Indonesia, including peat, mangrove and dryland areas. He/she will mainly focus on regenerative agiculture, multifunctional farm management across agro-silvo-pastoral-fishery system and use them as entry points to community development, engagement and partnership with local stakeholders including government agencies and private sectors. The position holder will be responsible for developing and implementing capacity strengthening programs for farmers through training, demonstration trials and field schools that is gender-sensitive, responsive and transformative. She/he will be responsible in leading some components under projects such as Sustainable Landscapes for Climate-Resilient Livelihoods in Indonesia (Land4Lives) project funded by the Global Affair Canada (GAC) and Improving the Management of Peatlands and the Capacities of Stakeholders in Indonesia (Peat-Impact)funded by BMU-IKI, but not limited to them.
