We work with governments, international development banks, including The World Bank and Inter-American Development Bank, UN agencies, NGOs and other partners in the international development and humanitarian assistance sector to help communities build resilience to natural disasters.

We are currently seeking an Administrative Assistant for a disaster risk reduction project, USAID Support to the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI) in India. This is a 5-year-long project.

Some of the central responsibilities of this position are:

  • Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office.
  • Schedule meetings and support visitors.
  • Carry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, scanning etc.
  • Complete operational requirements by scheduling and assigning administrative projects and expediting work results.
  • Make travel arrangements for senior staff (as needed)
  • Support team by performing tasks related to organization and strong communication.
  • Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2-3 years of relevant administrative work experience
  • Excellent oral and written English language communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Previous experience on international development projects (e.g., USAID, UN agencies, the World Bank) will be prioritized.
