Position: Accountant
Contract length:12 Months
Location: Yemen/Aden
Description of Position
The accountant will be a member of the financial team. The accountant will also be appointed to specific projects, in order to insure all IRVD projects are covered from a financial standpoint. The accountant WILL BE reporting to FINANCE MANAGER.
Organizational Responsibilities
· The Accountant will feed bills and financial documents to the accounting software of the Organization.
· The Accountant will prepare reports for donors.
· The Accountant will archive and save financial documents under the supervision of the finance manager.
· The Accountant will prepare monthly payrolls through coordination with HR Department.
· The Accountant will prepare and issue the Organization’s financial documents under the supervision of the Finance Director.
· The Accountant will execute outlay/expenditure order approved by the finance manager and/or the CEO.
· The Accountant will provide feedback about appropriate financial procedures for the Organization.
· The Accountant will coordinate with each of the Organization’s departments to verify/audit their financial tables.
· Programs
· The Accountant will coordinate with programs team on assigned project budgets.
· The Accountant will collect and archive all project documents for auditing
Qualifications
The potential Accountant must meet the following qualifications.
· A Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Accounting, or Finance
· At least two years of experience in finance management, one of which is in the non-profit sector; more experience of finance in the non-profit sector is highly desired
· Experience with Audit requirements and financial systems
