Associate Manager – ICRISAT Development

ICRISAT seeks an application from Indian nationals, for the position of ‘Associate Manager – ICRISAT Development Centre’’ to support activities of Global Research Program on Resilient Farm and Food Systems (GRP-RF&FS) on natural resource management. There is a requirement of 1 position where the incumbents will be based at Patancheru.

Covering 6.5 million square kilometers of land in 55 countries, the semi- arid or dryland tropics has over 2 billion people and 644 million of these are the poorest of the poor. Responsibilities:

·        As an Associate Manager of the program being the focal point, provide finance management support for Global Research Program Director Resilient Farm and Food Systems

·        Support Program Director in liaising with project leaders and respective finance contact points for budget management and budgeting of projects (current and new) across RFFS program.

·        Support Program Director in keeping track of the line-item wise budgets of all projects of the program and periodically appraise about budget implementation and burn rates across RFFS program.

·        Support in mapping staff time in respective projects across the program, prepare monthly salary budget sheets for all RFFS staff in consultation with PIs/CLs and program Director and share with Finance and HR every month

·       Support processing partners agreement, tracking the financial reports of the projects/ sub-grants / collaborative work

·       Provide need based administrative support pertaining to RFF

·       Any additional need-based duties assigned by the Program Director

 

Requirements:

·       Minimum 5 to 8 years’ experience in project management  

·       Good Finance management skills, planning and organization skills.

  • Candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • The candidate should have good analytical, problem-solving skills and a desire to develop new skills
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language to end users and Senior management.

     

    General:

     

    This is a contractual position for a period of 36 months.
