The WHO Centre for Health Development (WHO Kobe Centre-WKC) is a global research centre operating as a department under the WHO Headquarters. WKC conducts research that could translate to policies and actions to help countries accelerate the implementation of sustainable health policies. WKC produces and disseminates evidence through WHO and scientific publications, policy and evidence briefs, and other forms of communication. WKC collaborates with researchers, academics, practitioners, and interacts widely across WHO offices in HQ and the regions. Whereas WKC is a global centre, it also has a local role to collaborate and share knowledge among stakeholders in the Kansai region of Japan.
Essential: First level university degree (Bachelor levelor or above) in research methods, public health, health policy and management, health economicsor related subjects.

WHO salaries for staff in the Professional category are calculated in US dollars. The remuneration for the above position comprises an annual base salary starting at USD 62,692 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable), a variable post adjustment, which reflects the cost of living in a particular duty station, and currently amounts to USD 3046 per month for the duty station indicated above. Other benefits include 30 days of annual leave, allowances for dependent family members, home leave, and an education grant for dependent children.
