Queensland has the highest remand rates in Australia and 54 reasons’ MyJust Bail and Youth Support Team programs are focused on turning this statistic around. We need you to lead a dedicated team to help young people involved with the youth justice system to take the steps to become the best they can be, through practical support, case management and advocacy. In this varied and challenging role, you’ll manage and develop the program through team leadership, individual work and group work.

Where you come in:

In this full-time permanent position, based in our Townsville Office with travel to Mackay and Hervey Bay, you will inspire a team of passionate and talented individuals to accomplish ambitious goals for the Youth Support programs including our MyJust Bail Support team reporting to our Regional Manager.

You will make an impact by:

Leading and developing a dedicated and driven team, including providing professional supervision Supporting the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the MyJust program Building relationships with the local community and confidence in the program Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the program, including service delivery, budgets, administration, risk management and compliance

Your highly developed cultural awareness and sensitivity, partnered with excellent communication skills, will enable you to build community networks and lasting relationships. You’re not afraid of a challenge and constantly seek to grow and develop.

This role requires:

Proven leadership skills, the ability to nurture a cohesive, agile, high performing team Ability to drive child centred, family focussed approach in service provision within a team Experience working with children, young people and families of various cultural backgrounds, inclusive of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and CALD backgrounds Ability to manage competing priorities and respond to complex scenarios Current valid driver’s licence
