Major Function
The Stewardship Officer supports the Donor Communications and Stewardship team’s stewardship communications and recognition efforts for high-value donors and prospects to deepen engagement and commitment to World Wildlife Fund. The Stewardship Officer is part of a 10-person team whose goal is to develop and implement comprehensive and robust stewardship and recognition programs for all donors. The Stewardship Officer maintains the required processes, systems, and tools to track, manage, and systematize donor stewardship programs and the creation of high-quality and engaging donor materials and activities including donor acknowledgement letters and bespoke donor recognition opportunities.
Managing mailing and donor list review process, including for the Annual Report;
Tracking activities in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system;
Creating timelines for production and reviews;
Tracking material reviews and approvals;
Fulfilling bespoke recognition requests, including coordinating with outside vendors, as needed; and
Supporting the creation of stewardship collateral and other digital content such as holiday cards, donor reports, and e-newsletters.Liaises and coordinates with Regional Philanthropy, Foundation Relations, and Planned Giving teams to execute and deliver stewardship benefits, including working closely with the Stewardship Officer on the Regional Philanthropy team, the Foundations Grants Stewardship Officer, and the Gift Planning Specialist.Supports the Donor Relations Sr. Specialist in all tasks related to the donor acknowledgement and thank you letter processes.Collaborates with teams across WWF to support execution of major donor recognition and stewardship program. Monitors and maintains the program’s tools and systems (such as Airtable) to ensure efficient and effective operations, and to ensure appropriate tracking and weekly updating of Major Donor projects.Supports oversight of printed materials inventory, including regular organization, fulfilling internal partner requests, and notifying team members when inventory is low.Provides finance administration support for team budget tracking, including processing invoices, reconciling corporate card statements, and preparing checks and/or wire requests as needed.Performs other duties as assigned, including contributing to writing, communications, and other stewardship projects.
