Organisational Setting and Reporting
This position is within the Enterprise Solutions Service, Office of Information and Communications Technology (OICT/ESS) in Valencia, Spain. The incumbent reports to an Information Systems Officer within OICT/ESS.
Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Information Systems Officer and general supervision of the Enterprise Solutions Service Chief, the incumbent will perform the following functions:

Education
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
A university degree in computer science, information technology or a relevant field is desirable.
Work Experience
At least ten years of progressively responsible professional experience in information systems analysis, software development, and systems administration and maintenance.
A minimum of 6 years hands-on technical experience in at least 7 of the following technologies is required:
Experience of PowerPlatform (PowerApps, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents) is required.
A minimum of 3 years experience of DevOps processes and tools (AzureDevOps, SharePoint PowerShell, vscode, git, npm, GitHub/GitLab, Scrum) is required.
A minimum of 3 years designing and implementing accessibility and experience following Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG standards 2.0 and above) is required.
Experience of user support on enterprise application, and administration and troubleshooting of SharePoint on premises is highly desirable.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in English is required.
Knowledge of another official United Nations language, particularly Spanish, is an advantage.
Assessment

Appointment against this post is on a local basis; candidates who are nationals of a European Union country or possess a valid residence and work permit in Spain are eligible for consideration. Must have passed the United Nations Global General Service Test (GGST) at Headquarters or an equivalent locally-administered test at Offices Away from Headquarters.
